Refund and Returns

At Wholesale Cars 4 U, we value transparency, fairness, and customer satisfaction. This Refund and Returns Policy outlines your rights and our obligations in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.


1. Vehicles Sold As Is

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all vehicles sold are considered as is, meaning the vehicle is sold in the condition it is at the time of sale, including any existing defects that were disclosed or reasonably discoverable.

Buyers are encouraged to:

  • Thoroughly inspect the vehicle before purchase

  • Request a test drive

  • Ask for service history or inspection reports where available


2. 7-Day Mechanical Warranty (If Offered)

For added peace of mind, we may offer a 7-day mechanical warranty on selected vehicles. If your vehicle experiences mechanical failure within this period:

  • You must notify us immediately

  • The vehicle must not be driven further to prevent additional damage

  • We will assess the fault and determine if repair, replacement, or refund is appropriate, at our discretion

This warranty does not cover wear-and-tear items, accident damage, or issues caused by misuse.


3. Returns & Refund Eligibility

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you may be eligible for a return or refund if:

  • The vehicle is found to have a material defect not disclosed at the time of sale

  • The vehicle was misrepresented

  • The vehicle is unfit for purpose within 6 months of purchase (e.g. unable to be registered or driven safely)

If eligible:

  • You may request a repair, replacement, or refund, subject to assessment

  • Proof of purchase and all original documentation must be provided


4. Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Vehicles sold at a discounted or clearance price with full disclosure of condition

  • Any vehicle that has been modified or tampered with after sale

  • Damage resulting from driver negligence, accidents, racing, or off-road use

  • Normal wear and tear items such as tyres, brake pads, and batteries


5. Deposits & Cancellations

  • Vehicle deposits are non-refundable unless agreed otherwise in writing

  • If you cancel a purchase after signing an offer to purchase and financing has been approved, you may be liable for administrative or cancellation fees


6. Processing a Return or Complaint

To request a return, refund, or lodge a complaint:

  2. Provide your full name, contact info, proof of purchase, and the reason for your return

  3. We will acknowledge receipt and investigate within 5–7 business days

  4. If the return is approved, we’ll communicate the next steps (repair, replace, or refund)


7. Right to Refuse a Return

We reserve the right to decline a return or refund request if:

  • The issue falls outside the 6-month statutory period

  • The problem is due to misuse, accident, or unauthorised repairs

  • The vehicle is no longer in our possession or has been transferred
